I think we need an outdoor oven and a goat.

"they burble and chatter, whistle and purr"

This farm in Peru uses 1000 guinea pigs to power their farm and create an income stream (fertilizer) on the side.

And here is an example of a dairy farm in the US, though I don't think we're planning to have this many cows.

"the highlight of a pig roast is its unveiling"

Make a hole in the ground, dug by hand or a tractor. Line with rocks. Light a fire. Roll in a pig. Give it time.

1. Dig a pit.
2. Build a fire in the pit to heat rocks and accumulate coals.
3. Lower the pig into the coals.
4. Bury the pig beneath an insulating layer of dirt.
5. Wait a day.
6. Dig up the pig.
7. Eat the pig.

Ingredients: Whole roasting pig, garlic, red onions, pineapple, butternut squash, brown sugar, rosemary, banana leaves, burlap, chicken wire, hot hot coals.
