how can this not be our daughters?

  1. I don't think we can without drastic actions like home schooling and extreme isolation, but then what's the point of living? The best we can do I think is let them live and experience everything whatever way they experience it and then try to help them understand why certain things happen the way they do. The goal has to be to get them through this stage as unscathed as possible with a strong understanding of how and why things happen, whatever that ends up being. No one knows for sure whether their child will become the bully or the bullied, maybe it is likely they will be both. What we do know is that how they cope with these conditions mentally will impact the course of that child's life.
